Welcome to the Queensland Division of the Military Historical Society of Australia.
The Queensland Division of the MHSA promotes the research and study of Australia’s military history and its part in our national history. It highlights the great contribution of our defence personnel, customs, traditions, conflicts, arms and equipment and aims to preserve collectible memorabilia. It is also important to show the role our Services played with allied forces and acknowledge to families the role their members played. We do not glorify war, simply show the sacrifice, courage, loyalty and courage of our defence people.
We aim to bring our history to the awareness of our citizens and past/current defence force people so we may learn of the past and create a better future.
Members, family, friends and the public are invited to attend our bi-monthly meetings, usually on the second Saturday of January, March, May, July, September and November each year at 10.00am at various venues as advised. At this time we have a guest speaker, member comments and a “show and tell” of military style memorabilia that attendees bring along. This is a great opportunity to mix with others with an interest in all things military.
Everyone is invited to conduct their research and submit articles for publication in our national journal Sabretache.
We look forward to you joining us at a meeting and being part of Australia’s wonderful history.
